Little League bat rules, in plain English (2026)
The short version
- Majors and below (Minors, Majors, through age 12): bats must carry the USA Baseball (USABat) mark. Barrel 2 5/8" max. USSSA-stamped bats are not allowed.
- Intermediate (50/70) and Junior League (ages 11–14): USA Baseball mark or BBCOR mark, 2 5/8" max.
- Senior League: BBCOR only.
- Coach pitch / machine pitch: approved tee ball bats can be used only with approved tee balls.
Watch out for
- Little League also sets length limits by division (Rule 1.10). Check the rulebook for your division.
- USA Baseball is launching a new "USA BBCOR" standard. Little League says it won't affect the 2026 or 2027 seasons.
- Bats can be decertified. USA Baseball keeps the approved list at usabat.com.
